AJ Cook and Paget Brewster Returning to Criminal Minds?

News is sweeping the internet that female agents, Emily Prentiss, played by Paget Brewster, and J.J. Jareau, played by A.J. Cook might be returning to the BAU next season. The two were cut at the beginning of the current season for "creative and financial reasons". Prenitiss was written out as a past enemy came back trying to kill her and in the end succeeded.... maybe... while J.J. was transferred to the Pentagon unwillingly.

According to the studio, Cook was sent over an offer last week to return in the new season, while Brewster is also in talks to return if her new show on NBC doesn't get picked up by the network. Up in the air is the new girl on set, Rachel Nichols, who is playing the new agent filling Cook and Prentiss' role. Will she also be returning or will she lose her spot if the two return?

All these changes are coming as the old producer, Ed Bernero, is being replaced by new producer Erica Messer. If everything goes according to planned, the old team will be back together before we know it.
