Life Unexpected Recap 9/28

It's Nate's first day of work, and he is two hours late. Kate wants Paige out of the house now! Nate is pressuring Lux to play basketball in the hopes that she will learn life lessons from it. In her rush out of the house, Kate grabbed a loaf of banana bread that turned out to be laced with marijuana. In her altered state, she accidentally puts herself on air and says some pretty nasty things about Kelly. Jones asks Lux if she wants to hang out after school, and she says no because she needs to study for her test. She overhears some other members of the team discussing having the answers to the test and decides that she wants in on the action, so she tells Jones that she's in.

Kate gets a call from corporate for being inappropriate on air. She tells Ryan again that Paige has to go. What if Lux had been the one to eat the banana bread? Later that night, Kate goes to pay for dinner, and all if her cash is gone. She automatically thinks that Paige is the one that took it, but Luxe uses cash to pay for the test answers. Kate and Ryan question her when she gets home about the cash, and she uses the messed up foster kid card to put them in their place.

Nate is in a jam at work and asks Kate to have Kelly and Ryan volunteer for the firm's golf tournament. When Kate accidentally hits Kelly in the head with a golf ball, Kelly drops out and Kate takes her place. Paige finds Nate and gives him $300 cash towards her half of the damages for the bar. Nate accidentally lets it slip that he knows Paige; and Ryan puts two and two together and flips out. The argument on the course causes Nate to possibly lose a client for the firm. Nate goes and finds the client and lays all of his cards on the table. His honesty is what keeps the client with the firm, and Nate managed to save his job as well.

Lux gets caught cheating at school; and when Jones figures it out, he is beyond hurt. Lux admits to stealing the answers for the midterm from Math's bad while she is under fire for cheating on the most recent exam. Lux lets Kate and Baze know that no matter how much they want her to be like them , she isn't into sports and she doesn't like school. Math manages to keep her in school, but she is going to be serving detention for a long time and she has to work with a tutor. After she apologizes to him, he tells her that as much as she hates the pressure from her parents to be like them, deep down that is what she wants most. Jones later admits that he still has feeling for Lux, and she tells him that she may be open to something more than friendship later on down the line. She walks off to go meet her tutor, and it is none other than Eric.

After talking to Nate and finding out that Paige gave him $3oo cash, Ryan comes to the realization that Paige is not as innocent as he believed her to be and kicks her out.Since she has nowhere else to go, Baze tells Paige that she can move in to the loft because they are in need of another roommate. He heads over to Kate and Ryan's to play basketball with Lux, and Kate and Ryan present him with a check for Paige's half of the damages. They tell him that he shouldn't have to be penalized for her being irresponsible, and he can just give them her money as she pays him off. He is not to let Paige know what is going on.

The show closes with a nice family game of basketball.
