Life Unexpected Recap 10/5

Kate is still trying to make up for being high on her first day of being produce by keeping everything extra organized. Kelly still hasn't forgiven Kate for the things she said on the air, or for the golf ball incident. She refuses to follow the outline that Kate has set up for the show. Baze is over excited about Luxe's first basketball game. Math wants to ask Paige out, but thinks it's weird because they are roommates and the fact that she has already hooked up with Baze.

During one of her tutoring sessions with Eric, Luxe tells him that it is still awkward. We can all see that the chemistry between them. As she is getting ready for practice, Luxe sees Tasha! She's back and she is attending the same school. Things get even better for the friends when Baze puts Tasha on the team. When the get back to Tasha's new foster home, Luxe has a strange reaction to Tasha's new foster mom...I wonder why she freaked out.

In order to try to fix her relationship with Kelly, Kate asks her out for drinks. Math gathers up the courage to ask Paige out, and she says yes. Kate and Ryan discover that there are a number of issues in the relationship that they didn't realize they had. After getting completely trashed at the bar, Kate and Kelly are friends now and they agree to work together at work. In her drunken stupor, Kate tells Luxe that if Tasha got herself into a jam with nowhere to go, she could come and live with them. FYI she never discussed this with Ryan. Luxe decides to get Tasha kicked out of her current foster home by spray painting the house.

The next morning, things are going well with Kelly and Kate. That is, until Kelly lets it slip the intimate details of the conversation she had with Kate the night before. Ryan is not happy with what he hears and leaves. According to Math, the date with Paige was fantastic and even ended with a kiss. According to Paige, it was a complete disaster, and she kissed him so the date would end. She asks Baze to break the news to Math, and he does his best, but ends up telling Math in the middle of a heated argument. Speaking of arguments, Luxe walks in on the argument that Kate and Ryan are having and overhears Ryan say that he doesn't want to come and live with them. Ryan wants kids , and Kate already has Luxe and she doesn't want anymore. Ryan walks out and tells Kate that he doesn't know why they got married if she doesn't want to have any kids with him. They make up at the basketball game when Ryan explains to Kate that he only wants what she has with Luxe and Baze. They decided that they are going to start to try for kids of their own.

Luxe tells Tasha that Ryan said no. She also tells Tasha that she used to live with Valerie and that things when really bad after the fun wore off. During halftime, Bazr gives a heartfelt speech to both the team and Math and tells them what he honestly thinks is going to happen. They react well to what he says, and they pull themselves together in the second half of the game. They don't win the game, but they are beyond happy that it wasn't a complete shut out.

For as much as Luxe made us all think that Valerie was horrible to her, it turns out that it was the complete opposite. Luxe lived with her for just over two years and she was about to be adopted by Valerie when something happened. Valerie still loves her and considers herself to still be Luxe's "mom." Tasha isn't going to have to leave town again because she is going to live independently as the ward of Ryan and Kate. They are going to be her emergency contacts, and they are going to help support her in her own place. Even though Kate has told Ryan that she wants to have kids with him and that she will go off of her birth control, she secretly takes it when he leaves the room. Will she ever change her ways?
