PETA Responds to Gaga

I'm sure that most of you are already aware that Lady Gaga doesn't follow along with what most would consider "normal." However, her latest publicity stunt seems to have made a lot of people very unhappy; most of all PETA. The organization released this statement:

Wearing a dress made out of cuts of dead cows is offensive enough to bring comment, but someone should whisper in her ear that there are more people who are upset by butchery than who are impressed by it—and that means a lot of young people will not be buying her records if she keeps this stuff up. On the other hand, maybe it was fake and she'll talk about that later. If not, what's next: the family cat made into a hat?

Meat is the decomposing flesh of a tormented animal who didn't want to die, and after a few hours under the TV lights, it would smell like the rotting flesh it is and likely be crawling in maggots—not too attractive, really. "

I don't know about you, but I found the dress to be absolutely horrific. There has to come a point where you know that you have crossed the line. What are your thoughts on the meat dress?

  1. i think that it is awesome! i detest lady gaga, but if you're not evoking some sort of emotion out of people, you won't be famous for long. she probably knows what she's doing.
