new Michael Jackson pics on display...

All the way over in Brisbane, Australia (where this AOD staffer lives) our premiere art museum 'GOMA' (Gallery Of Modern Art) is hosting an 2 week exhibition of photographs from Douglas Kirkland entitled 'Douglas Kirkland: A Life In Pictures'. He has snapped pics of the likes of Dennis Hopper, Brigit Bardot, Faye Dunaway, John Lennon and Andy Warhol.

The Jackson pictures on display were all taken around the filming of the iconic film clip for what is arguably MJ's best clip 'Thriller'. "They're incredible photographs because they show Michael Jackson as a very young, beautiful, young man but with all this very strange, weird, old -looking make up on," he said.
"And of course now that we know his journey it's very ironic that we see the old and the young Michael Jackson at this particular time; some of them are very eerie."

I know what I'll be doing for this year's Brisbane Festival...if I can get a catalogue, I'll scan in pics for everyone.
