NBC and CNN Execs Step Down

In a very busy Friday, two big network executives announced that they were leaving their respective companies as major mergers and changes in the network began to take place.

NBC Universal Chief Executive, Jeff Zucker, announced he will step down once Comcast Corp takes over the network at the end of the year. Zucker stated that he wishes he was able to fix NBC's network before leaving, but it had been having rating problems for the past four years. One of the problems was choosing to move The Jay Leno show to an earlier time and then being forced to move it back because of the huge decrease in ratings.

His announcement came only about an hour after Time Warner Inc's CNN said that there U.S. Network Chief, Jonathan Klein, had been replaced. Ken Jautz, from HLN, is moving to take over Klein's place.

It looks like big changes in the networks and hopefully we seem them pull forward in the ratings race!
