First new Breaking Dawn cast member announced (spoilers)...

It has been confirmed that he's signed on and rumors are swirling that 29 year old Rami Malek has been cast as the Egyptian vampire 'Benjamin' in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn "It's going to be super exciting and I'm thrilled." The character is one of the Cullen's allies who come to their aid to show a united front against the Volturi when they threaten the Cullens. He is one of a few vampires with special powers, and can wilfully control and manipulate the 4 elements of earth, wind, fire & water.

The American actor recently portrayed PFC Merriell 'Snafu' Shelton in the Speilberg / Hanks WWII epic miniseris 'The Pacific' and the statue of Akmenrah that comes to life in the Ben Stiller family comedies 'Night at the Museum 1 & 2'

We know that the casting office has been offiically opened in Vancouver and Summit are planning on shooting in Vancouver and Louisana, but this is the first major piece of news we've had since Christian Serratos (who plays Bella's friend Angela Webber) slipped that filming of the final instalments of the Saga will begin this year (at a convention in Melbourne, Australia).
