OK, so most of you reading this are going to have no idea what I'm talking about, but hopefully some of you will and even more of you will discover the amazing 7 book series 'The Tomorrow Series' by famed Australian author John Marsden, the first of which has just been made into a movie that is being released in September 2010.
'Tomorrow, When The War Began' follows a close group of friends who are out camping when an unknown army invades Australia, and continues to follow them through a very rough few years where they have to stay alive, stay strong and stay together.
In 2000 the American Library Association listed the first book in the series, 'Tomorrow, When the War Began', as one of the 100 best books for teenage readers published between 1966 and 2000.
There was also a follow up series 'The Ellie Diaries' published in the late 90's early 00's as a personal style follow up emphasizing the psychological trauma and ramifications that going through this sort of life changing event has on people.
