It was revealed on Wednesday, that Chelsea Handler will be hosting the 2010 MTV's Video Music Awards. She will be only the second woman to host the show in its 25 year history. The show will be airing on Sunday, September 12 at 9/8 central.
Handler told her audience in regards to the announcement, "Everyone knows that when you think of rap music and hip-hop, you think of 'Chelsea Lately'." I think that she will be a breath of fresh air to the VMA's, and I look forward to how she will handle the absurdity that is the annual awards show. One can only hope that Handler isn't faced with an incident that rivals last year's Kanye West mic stealing debacle.
