Next up…last but certainly not least, was Ian. The screaming when he walked in was pretty intense, but we were expecting that! I'm pretty sure half of the crowd had no idea what he was talking about half the time as he's an incredibly intellectual being. He loves playing Damon so much and I honestly cannot see anyone else playing this character (nor any of the other actors/characters). He talked us through living in Europe by himself, modelling and devouring really intense books in coffee shops in Prague and made a special mention that 'without the fans there would be no show'. He said that those of us over 16 should go and watch another movie of his called 'The Rules of Attraction' and that LOST was his favourite project that he's worked on. Someone also asked him about the prank that Nina and Paul had alluded to and he giggled and gave us a rundown again and then went on to say that 'this person may or may not play a teacher on the show'……..
Then it came for the all important 'shirt off his back' auction (and I gotta tell you, at this point I WANTED THAT DANG SHIRT) and I was in from the start, bidding up a storm. He drew his body - outline of abs, belly button, nipples, heart (what's left of it L), and the all important snail trail!!! I'm pretty sure it got to about $700 when I decided to up the ante and shouted out $1,000!! Ian looked so shocked, he put his stuff down and ran over and hugged me and kissed my cheeks (whilst I just sat there totally dumbfounded) and it just went up and up from there. I bowed out at $2,000 and a lucky lady named Jo got it for $2,100 and a big hug and kisses from Ian as well. Like I said, it was for charity and I’m not sure if I'll ever get the opportunity to do that again, so the $ would have been totally worth the spend...
