Yep, its been an exciting day of music for me today! I was watching American Idol the other night and there was my last year favorite, Danny Gokey! He sang a song from his new album "My Best Days" and I knew I had to have the album! So was I pleasantly surprised by the rest of the songs or is the title track the only good one? Well if you guessed pleasantly surprise you are RIGHT! Well done Danny, this record is really good! I mean, ok I hear ya, American Idols don't have the best track record for making good albums.... (dare I bring up Fantasia, Ruben and the curly hair kid from Season one?) Well throw away everything you know about previous American Idols and go buy Danny's new record. He took a step into Country which I thought was a really bold move, though it did work for Carrie Underwood - and its working for Danny! All of his songs are inspiring and amazingly melodic. The whole tone of this record makes the listener feel better about life! Or at least it made me feel better about life. I think he's right, his best days are on their way!
